The LASTS are starting to pile up. This was the last football game for us. Matt’s last game.
The Seniors have traditionally worn silly hats at the last home game. And they get introduced.
And they get to take a bow.
This last marching band performance culminates 7 to 8 years of band lessons, practices, bus trips and lugging heavy equipment.
But this year, the percussionists were rushed off
and there were no introductions.
No bows for a job well done.
No thank-yous for a band director who ALONE guides over 230 talented kids.
No nods of recognition for the scads of parents who spend time volunteering.
That’s the way it goes sometimes. You gotta hear your own applause.
Our favorite second grader applauded.
And so did we.
