I think most foods are best when made at home.
I make alot of simple, plain Pork Tenderloin dishes. This is new for me….but a real traditional “Iowegian” dish!I searched on the internet for different recipes and this blog all about “Breaded Pork Tenderloin Sandwich Tutorials” came up on my search!
I had all the ingredients on hand….Buttermilk, Panko, Eggs, Flour and a Tenderloin! This recipe recommends that you soak the sliced and pounded thin tenderloin in buttermilk overnight, but I just did it for one hour. I heated some Crisco in my Lodge Cast Iron Skillet that my mother-in-law gave me and started breading!
(Nobody should see sausage, politics or Pork Tenderloins get made! ) Flour…egg….panko…then I let the piece rest a few minutes. Then into the hot oil! I was suprised at how fast it cooked.
I served it on a homemade hamburger bun. It was DEEEE-LISH!
