The Nebraska Fried Pork Tenderloin

I make alot of simple, plain Pork Tenderloin dishes. This is new for me….but a real traditional “Iowegian” dish!I searched on the internet for different recipes and this blog all about “Breaded Pork Tenderloin Sandwich Tutorials” came up on my search! Cooking in Lodge Cast Iron

I had all the ingredients on hand….Buttermilk, Panko, Eggs, Flour and a Tenderloin! This recipe recommends that you soak the sliced and pounded thin tenderloin in buttermilk overnight, but I just did it for one hour. I heated some Crisco in my Lodge Cast Iron Skillet that my mother-in-law gave me and started breading! Assembling Pork Tenderloin

(Nobody should see sausage, politics or Pork Tenderloins get made! )  Flour…egg….panko…then I let the piece rest a few minutes. Then into the hot oil! I was suprised at how fast it cooked.Homemade Pork Tenderloin Sandwich
